Over the last 18 months, we've built the foundations of SpareMusic. We've setup deliveries to major stores like Spotify, iTunes and Deezer (you can view all the stores we support here), built a platform that allows artists and labels to submit music and launched promotion tools including Release Pages and Pre-save Campaigns. We've also built a whole host of tools to automate our business - everything from allocating royalties, fetching store links and ingesting content for delivery.

Over the last few months, we've been growing like crazy. We're delivering thousands of tracks to stores each month, talking to hundreds of  customers everyday and have been managing thousands of operational tasks.

Now it's time to hire!

I should preference this by saying -  we only hire when it hurts! We don't do this often so it's super important we find the right person.

We're looking to hire one person at the moment. You'll work with our team to help manage deliveries to stores, talk with our customers solving problems in a delightful manner and work through our manual review queue (this can be anything from reviewing flagged releases and artist accounts, whitelisting videos or contacting stores).

We have a few requirements:

  • You must be a great writer. We're a remote team, we talk constantly through Slack, being able to write properly is so important. You'll also communicate with our customers and send emails to stores.
  • You can read and digest information well. We read a lot of documentation. Whether it be style guides, delivery guidelines or emails (ugh, so many emails!).
  • You must be organised. I think this goes without saying. You'll likely be working on multiple cases at the same time. Being able to follow-up, know the status of a task and be able to keep everything aligned is paramount!
  • You love music! 🎵 We are a music company, we listen to hundreds of tracks everyday. You've got to love music.

Logistics

This is a fully remote position, you're expected to work in a calm and quiet place so you can get good quality work done. We don't really care what time you work from and to with the exception that you have 3 hours cross-over time on the EST timezone (i.e. you must work 3 hours a day during our operating hours 10am - 6pm EST).

We'll provide you with a budget every year you can spend on your home office.
